Catching Dreams

This past weekend my husband and I took a trip into the mountains to collect sticks to make our very own dream catcher.  It seemed appropriate as we've recently moved to Denver, CO in the hopes of following our own dreams.  I thought it'd be great to document the day and the building of the dream catcher, as well as the room I deem most important, my sanctuary and quiet place - my bedroom.
So to start, we took Mike's motorcycle out for the day and collected potential branches.  It was a daring experience, spiders and all (for those of you who know me, you know just how daring this was!).  I even survived the hot temperatures of Denver this time of year.  However, I've never enjoyed a ride more!  There's something to say for seeing new surroundings, visiting new towns, and seeing the cutest of deer with their babies all while hanging out on the back of a bike.
Once we were back to the city we set off on foot to a local restaurant to get empanadas to bring home and have with homemade sangria while we got to work, yum!  Mike constructed the dream catcher, put the net on, and he left the decorating to me - I love that my husband works on crafts like this with me!
And the rest is a small peek at our new home in Denver, which we love very much.
